Responding to the Corona Virus Pandemic
SUPPORT FOR FIJI AND PAPUA NEW GUINEA - March 2021
Dear Friends of HOPE worldwide,
On a personal note, my family and I have been very fortunate through the COVID19 pandemic so far. Despite the intermittent restrictions and disruptions, we are incredibly grateful for the support of friends and family and how the Australian government has handled the crisis. As a country we have missed much of the devastation from rising COVID19 cases and the impact of a shrinking economy. As a family we have grown closer relationally and realise that we are in a very privileged position. With this in mind, we hope to be generous and help others who are struggling at this time. These HOPE updates focusses on needs in PNG and Fiji as well as reminding you of opportunities to serve on a HOPE Volunteer Corps Love and Prayers, Mark (Country Director, HOPE worldwide Australia) |
Funds collected in 2021 are being used for Food security, Health care, and Primary Education in Fiji and Papua New Guinea. Any funds over and above the needs this year will be added to a building fund for a Community Centre in Papua New Guinea. The negative economic impact continues to affect many families resulting in unemployment and destitution. If you would like to make a donation, this can be done by Bank Transfer (add 'COVID19' to message box) or through GiveNow. If you would like to direct the donation specifically to church members, donate using this account. The following video clips show some of the impact of HOPE Globally, HOPE in PNG and Ongoing Needs
